China Acrobats Association (abbreviated to CAA), founded in 1981, is a nation wide professional organization composed of acrobatic associations and artists from various nationalities in the provinces, autonomous regions and municipal cities across the country. Up to now the group members of CAA have reached 29 and individual members 1800.

The departments of CAA are: Internal Liaison Department, External Liaison Department, Theoretical Research Department, General Office and Acrobatics and Magic Periodical Office. The professional committees of CAA are: Magic Art Committee, Acrobatic Theoretical Research Academy, Comedic Art Committee, Acrobatic Music Committee, Troupe Management and Guidance Committee, Market-Exploration Committee, Circus Art Committee, Fund Management Committee and Rights Protection Committee.

CAA is also one of the group members of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

CAA has the internal responsibility of connecting, coordinating, serving and professional instructing to the acrobatic troupes; organizing acrobatic award judgments, performances, exchanges, visits and so on activities; carrying out all kinds of acrobatic theoretical research, discussion and propaganda; collecting, settling and studying home and foreign acrobatic materials, as well as transmitting information. CAA also has the external responsibility of visiting and performing in China of international acrobatic and magic artists and delegation; organizing delegation to visit, exchange and review abroad; introducing the development status of Chinese acrobatics and magic and achieving extensive exchange between Chinese and foreign art.

During these 20 years, as the national top professional organization of acrobatics, magic, circus and comedy, CAA has been insisting its original tenet, widely uniting the acrobatic staff all over the country. It makes outstanding contribution of enlarging the effect of Chinese acrobatics on international stage and developing Chinese acrobatic art.

In the new century, CAA will promote the external art exchange, keep pace with time by exploiting spirit, creative mind and top quality service and devote itself to enhance the prosperity of Chinese acrobatics and enriching the cultural treasure house of human being.
